Lavender Stock is a stock footage company who sells ethnic, cultural and lifestyle content centered around people of color and partners with artists who share that goal. We provide stock footage that is carefully selected and curated by television and education professionals who deem Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as the highest priority. We are focused on representing communities that are historically left out of mainstream media.

From Kwanzaa to Diwali, surfing to wine tasting, our goal is to show that storytelling, adventure and culture can be artistically captured, yet sometimes difficult to find. We want to fill in the deficit in this industry that our colleagues have identified – the lack of diversity.

I’m Aureal and it is a pleasure to have you here, at Lavender Stock. Thank you for coming. I started this company for various reasons. As a Producer, I quickly realized that the stock footage industry needed to improve by providing more variety in diverse content, particularly in images and videos. I believe that diversity, equity and inclusion should be the standard in media, not a buzz word that can be eliminated by ignorant policy makers… but more on that later.

I love Post Production! There is something magical about watching raw footage, listening to interviews and creating a non linear story. You get to know people without ever meeting them. My career has been centered around education and television. I’m a long-time Story Producer who has worked on a variety of topics and themes like weddings, musicians, mediums, addiction, social work, physical therapy, cybersecurity, architecture, animation and more. My superpower is having an “Eye of the tiger” – the ability to find the gold in each story. I hope that Lavender Stock’s content can help you do the same.
